“Citizen Journalism Training for Disadvantaged Groups” is one of the projects of the beraberce Association.
Under the scope of this project and as a result of the underrepresentation of issues pertaining to disadvantaged groups in the media, “Citizen Journalism Trainings” are organized for individuals belonging to disadvantaged groups who practice or wish to practice citizen journalism.
Those who successfully complete the training program receive a certificate of participation.
In order to participate in this free training program, individuals submit an application containing their resumes and detailing why they would like to partake in the program.
During the selection process, special attention is paid to ensure that applicants are selected from a variety of disadvantaged groups, including disabled persons, individuals identifying as LGBTQ, Greeks, Armenians, Assyrians, Kurds, Laz, Circassians, Alewites, Christians, Jews, Women, Refugees and Migrants.
By conducting one-on-one meetings with the applicants, beraberce ensures that the selected participants are truly eager, will attend the training in a regular and disciplined manner, and can utilize the things they learn from the training program in the future.
